What needs attention
A stain follows an indoor supply leak. A repaired line and the remaining damp materials are two distinct completion questions. Which record confirms the source repair, and what affected surfaces still need assessment?

A repaired pipe and remaining materials answer different questions
Keep the supply-repair record beside the present wall, floor or contents observations. A documented line correction can explain one source decision without proving that all affected material has dried or been assessed. Conversely, a remaining stain does not by itself establish that the repaired line is still releasing water.
Ask what remains after source correction
The next assessment should identify current moisture findings, material condition and any unresolved water path. If the repair record is incomplete, state that gap rather than treating recollection as confirmation. Cleanup, further source investigation and rebuilding should follow those separate findings instead of being combined into one assumed completed event.
Access for the affected space
Give the exact property address and identify the affected structure. If several buildings or storage spaces are present, make clear which one needs assessment and who can authorize entry. For an investigation, provide existing source-repair records and explain which concealed area can be accessed with permission.
