What needs attention
Owner and tenant belongings share one room. The item inventory must distinguish ownership before salvage or disposal decisions. How will separate authorizations be recorded for the retained and removed contents?

A shared room can contain separately owned items
Identify which belongings belong to the owner and which to the tenant before accepting a general contents proposal. Record the material and known condition of each group. Room access or approval for building cleanup does not give either party automatic authority to discard the other person’s belongings.
Keep each irreversible decision attributable
Recommendations for specialist advice, cleaning, transport or disposal should reach the relevant item owner. The record should show what was authorized and any limits on expected salvage. A combined inventory can still be useful, provided it preserves ownership and avoids converting one signature into consent for every contents decision.
Access for the affected space
For a leased or shared property, clarify authority over individual finishes and common components before opening an affected area. Keep the owner, resident and management contacts distinct. For contents, record the owner of each item and identify any specialist handling that needs separate authorization.
