What needs attention
A concealed section was not included in a report. An uninspected area should remain a stated limit rather than an assumed clean surface. What further evidence or access would be needed before retained materials are covered?

An omitted section remains an omitted section
If a report did not assess a concealed area, its condition should not be inferred from the reviewed room face. State the uninspected boundary and any available earlier records. Missing evidence is not an automatic instruction to remove the material, nor confirmation that it can safely be covered without further consideration.
Ask what would support the retention decision
The proposal should identify the additional observation or authorized access needed before rebuilding. If removal is later recommended, record the finding and changed boundary. Retained material and restoration should have an understandable handoff rather than allowing a new finish to erase the same information limit.
Access for the affected space
When scheduling around owner absence, define who approves the scope and receives the final record. Do not let an entry arrangement become assumed permission for removal or disposal. For material removal, agree the additional-work approval process and name the trade responsible for rebuilding.
